Merrill Lynch manager, Joe Gualtieri, in Philadelphia sent me a letter with no explanation why he was liquidating my retirement investments. I contacted him and my financial advisor to be told by the advisor, he did not know why and Joe did not return my calls.

When a letter was requested to explain why, none was sent.

This had been a 5 year association with trust on my part. Now I am facing a withdrawal fee and 60 days to find a new investment company.

At my age, this is very disappointing and has caused much anguish. This should not happen to anyone.

Monetary Loss: $6000.

I agree. My advice is do not go with ML.

After all they were neck deep in the housing scandal and then paid their CEO over $100,000,000 to take a hike. I am a customer of 25 yrs and they convinced me to switch the Merrill Edge.

It was and is a overwhelming process with conflicting answers and no answers. No real value, go somewhere else
