Phone call will not go through. It gives you every option but to talk to customer representatives. This is so sad.

Verified Reviewer |"Page unresponsive" I'm seeing red.
Over and *** over I try to use their *** damn site. Pages constantly unresponsive.
CPU power usage for whichever browser I'm on is sky high. I say 'whichever' because it doesn't actually matter. I'm a privacy minded user, my daily browser is Brave with its built in blockers on as well as uBlock Origin. Does turning one or the other or both off fix the site?
Nope. Does opening it in Firefox with just uBlock fix it? Nope. Firefox and no uBlock?
Nope. Chrome with uBlock Lite? Nope. *** damn STOCK UNMODIFIED Chrome?
NO. I hate that I can't do anything anywhere without being watched, stalked, and logged so my activity data can be bundled up and sold, but *** even when I take the damn shields down and let it happen, I STILL CAN'T GET TO MY MONEY.
I don't know what their problem is, but my nerves are too fried to care anymore. If Chase wants me to pay my credit card, they can go talk to Merrill themselves.

Miscommunication with the company that used to be my favorite company cost me $1,100 because of their incompetence.

I was on the phone for hours today regarding my 401k. There has been no resolution, Ive been bounced around like a soccer ball.
This is not fair!! Ive worked since I was 15 years old. Im very concerned about my future.
This company could give a *** less. Customer service is horrible!

Hello, the delivered cheque for the overcharged commission fee of 66.71$ from April 26th, 2024 (Nr. 00181****) cannot be used and transferred to my bank account here in Germany.

When you call the number to get in contact with customer service wait time is over an hour. You can choose to have them call you back but when they do, its impossible to get through because you have to either press one or two neither of which work Im trying to get my pension out, and invest it with another company that will at least have a person to answer the phone like Fidelity.

Sent an expired package to fill out, assured it will be accepted, MONTHS later Told it was expired and NOT accepted
Trying to claim my benefits, told I'd get a package to fill out, called several times, sent an expired package, told it will be OK, sent all information back, told it was received and is all good, NEVER received money...SUDDENLY received a letter claiming I never requested my retirement money, called told it expired. Told 9-9-2024 they will send another package for me to fill out due May, 2024 MONTHES AGO already, I'm SURE JUST to CLAIM it's expired AGAIN

I was told by my Merrill advisor. I had to make an appointment to discuss my money. I don’t understand. It is my money.
After calling back several hours later and requesting confirmation, I was told that it is true. I would have to make an appointment again to discuss my funds.
Then, when as I asked if I wanted to transfer to a different financial company, would I have to make an appointment? They told me, 'Just tell your new financial company to call them.' It seems that you must not value your customers if it's that easy just to tell me to go to a new company.

Mishandling Customer's Money and PRIVACY
I had to take out a loan against my 401k plan due to my employer Sedgwick screwing up my short term disability claim. I call Merrill Lynch to take out a loan against my 401k plan, they ask me for the address to mail expedited my check to on 03/28/2024, I provide the address, and they assure me they are able to and have updated my address and the check will be mailed to the address.
A few days later, using the UPS tracking number, I find out they failed to deliver the check. I call UPS and ask what the issue is, and they say the shipper (Merrill Lynch) has mailed the check to the incorrect address. I call Merrill Lynch on 04/01/2024 and ask what the problem is. Furthermore, I'm informed they mailed the check to the incorrect address and that they aren't able to update my address over the phone, and they apologize that I was told that it was and could be.
They then inform me I have to get the check from a UPS customer care center, I accept and tell them to expedite it and waive the fee since they screwed up. They waive the fee and assure me they have now reissued my check to the UPS center in Dallas for pick-up, and they put a stop on my old check. The entire week goes by, and I call each day asking for a UPS tracking number for my new check, and they said they don't have it yet. I call again Friday 04/05/2024, and speak to a 5th agent, named Ayesha Smith, who tells me the new check that I was told that was reissued on Monday was NEVER SENT OUT.
At this point I am missing my $1500 check of my OWN MONEY mind you, and now am late on rent and now have suffered a $200 late fee because of Merrill Lynch's PURE INCOMPETENCE. I should have had my money last week, but now it's the end of an entirely new week and I still don't have my money.
I should never be placed in this position by any company ever. This is frustrating and embarrassing, and I want this company burned to the ground and held accountable.

They won't transfer funds to another brokerage
Merrill Lynch has been *** to "work" with. We've been trying to transfer funds to another brokerage.
The brokerage who is to receive the funds has submitted the paperwork several times but Merrill says they have not. They stall and stall.
You never talk to the same person twice. We are now going to withdraw the funds to a bank account and wire the funds from the bank account to the broker.

Incomptence on scale across Merrill Lynch
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent handling of my attempt to deposit a check into my IRA account. Despite my efforts to follow the instructions provided by your representatives, I have encountered a series of miscommunications and procedural errors on your part.
Initially, after attempting to contact your firm for guidance, it took three days to receive a response.
Call any of your offices and see how it goes nowhere, a complete and utter joke in the modern era. When advised, I was directed to deposit the check at a local branch, only to later be informed that the deposit was not possible due to my account being an "Edge" account, which requires mail-in deposits. This crucial piece of information was not communicated by either the initial representative or the branch staff at the time of deposit.>
> The lack of knowledge and coordination between different parts of your firm has resulted in my check being in limbo, necessitating its cancellation and reissuance, incurring additional fees and inconvenience on my part. I question how such a level of service and internal disorganization aligns with Merrill Lynch's fiduciary responsibilities to its clients.
I expect a prompt resolution to this matter and request guidance on how to proceed without further detriment to my financial activities.
Get your act together and quit being an embarrassment to the US public! The CEO appears to be the worst leader possible to run Merrill.
